Liz Wilshin’s review of Lamb of God’s Wrath.
Definitely Lamb of God and though I don’t think is necessarily the best thing since indoor plumbing, it is still fantastic. They’re trying something new by going for a more melodic tone and even intermixing some singing. It doesn’t work sometimes, but it’s great to see that they’re not confined into one style as so many other successful bands have done.
1. “The Passing” 3/5- just a melodic intro
2. — LOVE IT, but it has profanities.
3. “Set To Fail” 3/5
4. —- More cursing. Awesome.
5. “Fake Messiah” 4.5/5
6. “Grace” 5/5- Cool melodic intro. Super catchy riff & amazing breakdown.
7. “Broken Hands” 3/5- kind of new school sounding… Not really my cup of tea, but pretty cool, I suppose.
8. “Dead Seeds” 4/5- Very ‘classic’ LOG
9. “Everything to Nothing” 5/5- probably AMAZING live.
10. “Choke Sermon” **5/5- love the lyrics especially on this one.
11. “Reclamation” 4/5- pretty epic with great breakdown. Starts with wind for some reason…
