Absu is a Black/Thrash metal band from Plano, Texas that was fromed around 1990. The album “Absu” is Absu’s sixth studio album and definitely fits the bill of a Black/Thrash album. Personally, I would say that this album leans more towards Black Metal than to Thrash though botha re mixed. I would say this album is pretty well rounded as far as vocals, guitars, and drums are concerned. Lyrics consist mostly of Occult topics, Black Magik, and Paganism.

Personally, I enjoyed this album. I like the blend of Black and Thrash Metal that these guys have. I think it’s a little odd that a group from Texas is so into the occult and paganistic ideals, and they really didn’t need to make almost every song on the album unpronounceable, but overall, I enjoyed it. You should spin this!
